Is it possible for the translation industry to become a recognized, standardized technical industry, like the accounting and legal industries? How can we make translators put translation into their career planning or regard it as a long-term goal in their life? Written translation is a very typical, pure paperwork, which has contradictory characteristics.

That is to say, for the same translation job:
People who do not like it may feel bored and oppressed with the irritation of struggling to cope with unfamiliar fields and with the dullness of endless repetition.
People who like it will be peaceful and interested with the happiness of learning new knowledge and a sense of achievement from its accumulation.
Being relaxed and happy or being distressed and irritated is just a whim away, depending on whether you like it or not.
